The EC040 thermal imager is a fully-equipped, low level entry model designed to provide you with high-quality IR images and videos in order to carry out in-situ thermal analyses at a fraction of the price you would normally expect to pay for such precision and quality.
The EC040 is a state-of-the-art thermal imaging camera designed to provide you with infrared videos and images that can be used to detect leaks and a variety of different defects in buildings and installations - defects which can easily cost you hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of pounds. The EC040 is able to pinpoint a building’ s weaknesses and detect such defects as missing or ineffective insulation caused either as a result of wear and tear or shoddy workmanship. If left unchecked, these defects can form cold bridges which are responsible not only for heat loss on a truly astonishingly and alarming scale but which can also contribute to the formation of mould – especially harmful mould that can severely damage both the property in question and perhaps more importantly still the occupants’ health.
The EC040 comes standard equipped with a rechargeable battery that, when used in energy saving mode, can power the camera for up to a full 3 hours. This added benefit allows you to focus on the task at hand without having to constantly worry when the battery will run out. The IR images and videos are presented in pseudo colours on a crisp and clear, easy-to-read 2.5 inch TFT LCD. All in all there are 6 different colour pallets to choose from. In addition, the EC040 has an adjustable degree of emission ranging from 0.01 to 1.0 and an automatic measurement correction function which can be activated using user-defined temperature and humidity settings.
